This Week In The Charts – 21st August 2023

This week in the charts we have debuts from Minor Gold, Deafcult, Days Like These, Hemina, Coda Chroma, Werewolves, GFlip, Mushroom, Chasing Ghosts, The Rions, FISHER & Kita Alexander, and Melanie Dyer.
Debuting at #1 on the 100% Independent Album charts Minor Gold entered for the very first time, as well as securing a debut at #7 on the Independent Label Albums charts for their self-titled.
G Flip debuted at #1 on the Independent Label Albums chart with their latest release ‘Drummer’. #2 was secured by Mushroom for ‘Ego: The Michael Gudinski Story – Music From The Feature Documentary’ and Chasing Ghosts secured #12 with ‘Homelands Unplugged’.
Deafcult also entered the charts for the very first time securing #2 on the 100% Independent Albums chart and #11 on the Independent Label Albums chart with ‘Fear Of Illusion’.
Days Like These debuted at #3 on the 100% Independent Album chart and #16 on the Independent Label Album chart.
Hermina entered the charts at #4 on the 100% Independent Album charts and #18 on the Independent Label Albums charts.
Code Chroma secured #5 on the 100% Independent Albums chart, and #19 on the Independent Label Albums chart with ‘Dreamself’.
Werewolves took out #13 on the 100% Independent Albums chart with ‘My Enemies Look and Sound Like Me’.
FISHER & Kita Alexander debuted at #3 on the Independent Label Album chart with their latest single ‘Atmosphere’.
Melanie Dyer debuted at #12 on the Independent Label Singles chart with ‘Dust’ – and The Rions debuted at #13 with their latest single ‘Minivan’.
