Feature: Cool Out Sun – OHellYeh

Afro Hip Hop veterans hailing from South East Melbourne Cool Out Sun reveal their percussive new single ‘OHellYeh’ featuring guest vocalists Vida Sunshyne and Bilalli.
Direct from Frankston to worldwide, the release is led by MC N’fa Jones’s trademark relaxed baritone vocals on the opening verse; with guests Bilali and Vida delivering the hook.
Both guests get a verse as the track progresses with Vida’s Jamaican tinged delivery changing the vibe up and Bilalli’s verse representing the newest generation in Melbourne hip hop.
In the engine room, beatmaker Sensible J’s trademark chunky production features pumping drums punctuated with organ and bass riffs and bubbling percussion by regular Cool Out Sun collaborator Nui Moon.
OHellYeh came together from a House Of Beige hang out/jam session with Sensible J, N’fa and rising MC, Bilalli.
Upon hearing this beat, N’fa wrote a verse and then asked Bilalli to hop on the track.
Bilalli responded “oh hell yeah” – to which N’fa said, “let’s make a hook out of THAT!”
Fast forward to a Hip Hop jam in Naarm where legendary local MC, and original House of Beige fam Vida Sunshyne joined the crew on stage, after which N’fa invited her to bring her energy to the studio and make the song a family affair. Bilalli revealed at the recording session that this was the first track he and his sister had been on together; creating a heartwarming moment in music and beautiful energy on a track.
Cool Out Sun‘s latest single ‘OHellYeh‘ is available to stream now via House Of Beige.
