Support Act Limited (SAL) is a registered charity and non profit organisation which raises funds to provide relief arising from hardship and/or illness amongst those working in the Australian music industry and is the only benevolent fund for this purpose. SAL was set up by a group of volunteers from the music industry several years ago who could see there was a definite need for an organisation to help those who were suffering from illness and/or hardship.
As SAL It currently receives no Government funding itis reliant on donations and fundraising events.
Welcome to the online home of the Australian Independent Record Labels Association (AIR). We are a non profit, non government association dedicated to the growth and development of Australian independent artists, record labels and distributors across Australia and the world. AIR is introducing a new membership structure on the first of July 2010 with a view to providing better membership services for self‐released independent artists and small labels.
The new category of artist membership has been designed to encourage self‐released artists to join the organisation and take advantage of the tangible financial benefit provided by our business partners, professional development and advocacy programs.
AIR has introduced these categories to acknowledge the increasing prevalence of small labels and self‐released artists throughout the market.
AIR’s advocacy wins in the past year also mean that AIR is in a position to distribute license fees and help track down unpaid royaltiees from around the world. Larger independents will increasingly enjoy the financial benefits of AIR’s work to facilitate be?er business for Australian master owners.
