This Week in the Charts - 17th August, 2026

This week in the charts we have debuts from Icecream Hands, Toby Hobart, Barb Waters Feat. Van Walker, Let Your Hair Down, Strict Face, The Sunny Cowgirls, Self Checkout, Casey Barnes, Bachelor Girl, Don Walker, Chris Cobb, Rowena Wise, Melinda Schneider, Impressed Recordings, Jen Mize & The Rough n' Tumble, Charlie Ivan Band, Adalita, and Babe Rainbow.

Taking out #1 across both the Independent Label Singles Chart & the 100% Independent Singles Chart was Icecream Hands with ‘Pineapple Pieces EP’. 

Toby Hobart secured #2 on the Independent Label Singles Chart with ‘Swim’, Strict Face came in at #13 with ‘The Fires Still’ & The Sunny Cowgirls took out #17 with ‘Weather Dad’. 

Barb Waters Feat. Van Walker took out #5 on the 100% Independent Singles Chart & #11 on the Independent Label Singles chart with ‘Chalet Light’; Let Your Hair Down took out #12 with ‘Pingu's Anthem b/w Gronk’, & Self Checkout took out #12 on the 100% Independent Singles chart with ‘Manchester by the Sea’. 

Casey Barnes took out #1 across both the 100% Independent Albums chart & the Independent Label Albums chart with ‘Made For This’. Bachelor Girl took out #2 across both album charts with ‘Waiting for the Day (Artist Sessions)’, ‘Love Songs’ the latest release from Don Walker took out #3 across both also. 

Chris Cobb took out #4 on the 100% Independent Albums chart & #5 on the Independent Label Albums chart with ‘More Questions Than Answers’. Rowena Wise debuted at #5 & #6 with her latest release ‘Bad Things Feel Good*’, Melinda Schneider came in at #6 & #7 with ‘The Way We Were’, Impressed Recordings latest pressing of the movie soundtrack to ‘Wolf Creek’ secured debuts at #9 & #12.  ‘Tilt’ the latest release from Jen Mize & The Rough n' Tumble, secured #9 & #14.

Adalita, came in at #4 on the Independent Label Albums chart with 'Adalita (15th Anniversary Edition)', and Babe Rainbow secured #11 with 'Acid and Honey'.

Rounding out a busy week of debuts Charlie Ivan Band took out #15 on the 100% Independent Albums Chart with ‘Of Nothing’.
