Feature: Julia Wallace - Forward

For those drawn to longing and love; Julia Wallace releases their new EP ‘Forward’.

Across four intimate songs, Julia sings of falling in love, moving away from love, and searching for home across the country through layered vocals, flugelhorn, mandolin, piano and guitar. 

In cascading melodies, the focus track ‘No Way Around You’ paints a scene of the first week of the new year in a hot Perth summer when Julia was following their heart.

Speaking about the EP Julia says:
‘I wrote all of these songs as a reaction to my changing scene this year and with the freedom of attempting to play guitars and mandolin, to play tactile strings and just feel. These songs helped me rearrange and make sense of my new setting and where I sit.”
