Feature: Baby Cool - Infinity Baby

A reckoning of sorts Baby Cool reveals her sophomore album Infinity Baby.

A collection of songs that see the artist face herself and her habits - stomping, slinking and swaying through self realisation.

The songs move through desire, cynicism, devotion and surrender, sometimes defeat, but always circle back to a kind of hope. It’s a record about patterns: the ones we inherit, the ones we repeat, and the ones we choose to keep.

Baby Cool muses,

The record is a deep dive into the shadows around me - some I cast myself and others are cast by people and things beyond my control… I seem to be spinning around in a vortex of life meaning everything, and sometimes, meaning nothing.”

Title track ‘Infinity Baby is a hypnotising waltz, toeing the line between existentialism and reassurance.
As Baby Cool puts it,

"The concept of infinity has been my greatest fear for as long as I can remember. As a child, I had a recurring dream where, as I looked out of the car window at the ground, it would start to move faster and faster until it was too fast to comprehend.  This terrified me. Around the same time, I started thinking about the universe expanding forever with no end…  These were big thoughts for a little girl. I wanted to make a song that soothed the existential fear that was so tightly tethered to my younger self, and bring some lightness to those big thoughts. I’m just another human trying to make peace with the infinite cycles of change we all find ourselves in.”
