Feature: The Gnomes - More
Melbourne garage-pop four-piece The Gnomes have hit the ground running with the release of their debut EP More - four tracks showcasing their joyful take on sixties garage and scrappy punk rock, alongside a new single and music video for lead track 'Thinking Of Me'.
Frontman Jay Millar says of the track:
"I wrote 'Thinking of Me' literally as I was recording the demo. I have this really cheap Chinese Rickenbacker 12-string knock-off that I really wanted to use while we were making our debut album, but the band hated how it sounded. I felt so guilty that I’d bought this shitty guitar that I went home and recorded a few demos with it, and 'Thinking of Me' was one of those songs. The final version doesn’t have the shitty 12-string on it, but it still has the energy of me having something to prove.”
The Gnomes are Jay Millar (guitar/vocals), Ned Capp (guitar), Olly Katsianis (bass) and Ethan Robins (drums).
Thinking Of Me doubles down on the band’s momentum with a music video compiled from live footage from some of the band's biggest performances to date — Golden Plains Festival 2026 and Luliepalooza 2026.
'More' captures the raw energy that has made The Gnomes’ one of the most exciting young guitar bands on the rise.
The Gnomes debut EP 'More' and latest video 'Thinking Of Me' are available to stream now.
