ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR AIR'S INDEPENDENT MUSIC CHARTS

AIR's Independent Music Charts are based on sales data received directly from ARIA

ARIA collects recorded music sales data from the majority of Australia's music retailers, including online retailers. The data from each store or site is matched with the ARIA database and the sales figures are extrapolated to achieve a 'best estimate' of the actual overall sales of each title.

ARIA maintains a database of product releases from information supplied by Record Suppliers and Information Providers. If you are releasing your own music and it’s being sold in ARIA accredited stores/online then we suggest you register those releases with ARIA so that they can be considered for charts survey. ARIA membership is not a prerequisite for the inclusion of specific releases in the ARIA Charts, but is encouraged.

Here is a link to the ARIA Charts Codes of Practice document with the form that you’ll need to fill out and submit to them on the last couple of pages.
