This Week In The Charts – 12 April, 2023

This week in the charts we have debuts from Private Function; Raising Ravens, Babaganouj, V, RBI, Murphnick, Kevin Bloody Wilson, Andrew Farriss,  Missy Higgins, Lastlings, Sammi Constantine, Ricki-Lee, Tones & I, Caitlyn Shadbolt, and DMA’s.

Private Function secured a #1 debut on the 100% Independent Albums chart with their latest album ‘370HSSV 0773H’. Raising Ravens took out #3 with ‘Leaving With The Halflight’, #4 was a debut from Babaganouj with ‘Jumbo Pets’. Melbourne underground artist V achieved #5 with ‘Faithless’ and #7 was taken out by RBI with ‘Dissimate’. Rounding out the busy week of debuts on the 100% album charts Murphnick achieved #9 with ‘Strange Ride’, Kevin Bloody Wilson secured #18 with ‘International Dilligaf Day’.

On the 100% Independent Singles charts Missy Higgins debuted at #10 with ‘Wide Open Road’, Lastlings debuted at #13 with ‘Noise’ and Sammi Constantine secured #16 with ‘Dopamine – EP’.

On the Independent Label Albums chart we have a #1 debut from DMA’s with ‘How Many Dreams’. Private Function secured #2 with 370HSSV 0773H. Raising Ravens debuted at #5  ‘Leaving With The Half Light’. With #10 welcoming a debut from Babaganouj with ‘Jumbo Pets’, V secured a debut at #11 with Faithless and RBI rounded out the charts securing a #20 debut with latest album ‘Disseminate’.

On the Independent Singles Chart Ricki-Lee took out #1 with ‘On My Own’, Tones and I secured a #2 debut with latest single ‘I Am Free’. Caitlyn Shadbolt debuted at #11 with ‘Monsters’, Andrew Farriss secured #12 with ‘Love Makes The World – EP’ and ‘Fading Like a Picture’ by DMA’s debuted at #18.
