Tilly Tjala Thomas (pron. ‘Jala’) unviels her highly anticipated second EP Sanctuary, featuring culturally rich, emotive and compelling singles ‘Mansion‘, ‘Ngai Yurlku Nhiina‘ and title track ‘Sanctuary‘.

Featuring four passionate and intimate tracks, Sanctuary delves into the inspiration and importance of culture, life, love and freedom. These pieces are elevated through Tilly’s captivating vocals, integration of Nukunu language and culture, and exploration of compassion, acceptance and balance.

The journey of Sanctuary highlights Tilly’s storytelling abilities through impeccable songwriting, fused together to create a mix of up-beat, dance-pop-electronic and emotive and melodic tracks. The preservation of Nukunu language and culture is amplified through Tilly’s lyricism and melodies, and the tracks have been carefully curated over the past two years and filled with utmost passion, self expression and personal growth.

“It is important to me to preserve language and culture and I am grateful to be able to do that through my music. I have (hopefully) arrived at a good blend, a good balance of music,” said Thomas.
