Feature: Whatever, Forever – Slowly Dying With You
Sydney punk rock trio Whatever, Forever share an enlightened perspective with the release of their brand new EP ‘Slowly Dying With You‘.
A vision long growing in the shadows packed a new direction much closer to the heart for Whatever, Forever as songwriters. Tracked, mixed, and mastered by Clayton Segelov at The Brain Recording Studios, ‘Slowly Dying With You‘ was a necessary chapter for the band in order to make it through 2020.
“In times as dark as that the best thing we’ve learnt to do is write music that’s honest, vulnerable, and accepting of the life as it is. In all its melancholic beauty,” says the band.
Leading with singles ‘I Need You More Than You Know‘ and “Ghost Of Me“, ‘Slowly Dying With You‘ promised early on to deliver on thoughtful themes and brooding sonic spaces.
Whatever, Forever are guitarists and vocalists Nick Adams and Chas Levi, who are two of five members of the metal band Justice For The Damned, and travel tight with full-time photographer and bassist, Jack Rudder.
What started just after high school as an outlet for inspiration of early melodic hardcore legends such as Modern Baseball and Have Heart, quickly became an organic entity with a yield of chorus, fuzz-filled walls of guitar, groove behind the drums and words that are desperate to be sung, to say the least.
‘Slowly Dying With You’ is available and streaming everywhere now.< Back to news
